- He attended Ethier School until Grade 8, then went to Notre Dame College where he graduated and obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree. He attended Les Missions Etrangeres at Pont Viau, Quebec, due to health problems he was told to return to his Diocese, being a missionary priest would be too demanding on his health. After his ordination on June 17th, 1965 he worked in various communities: Sacred Heart Cathedral, Crystal Springs, Bonne Madone, Reynaud, Fishing Lake, Kinistino, Carrot River, Arborfield and as Camp Director for St. John Boscoe. In 1983 he went to St. Joseph's Parish in Prince Albert then to Melfort, Kinistino, St. Brieux, Nipawin and Choiceland. In 1999 he took a leave of absence. During this time he coordinated the 2000 Boutin Family Reunion. After further studies his dream of teaching and missionary work brought him to China. To fulfill his dream, he left in March, 2001. While in China his work focused on the British Council which administers International English testing systems, for which he was an examiner. He taught at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (Communist Party University) New Bridge Foreign Language School and 21st Century Times. He was also working with Foreign Affairs Committee in Beijing as they are getting ready for the 2008 Olympics. In the fall of 2004 he was the recipient of the highest acclamation a foreign expert in Beijing can receive, "The Great Wall Friendship Award " bestowed every year by the Government in recognition of outstanding contributions to the city by foreign specialists. His involvement in the Roman Catholic community of Beijing included masses at different Embassies and counseling regardless of beliefs and religion as expressed in the condolences received by email and by gmail.
