Franklin County Recorder Apr 25, 1883 Major C.W. Boutin started last evening for Pullman, Ill., in response to a telegram received by him late in the afternoon, hearing the sad news that his mother was dead.

Franklin County Recorder May 2, 1883 Major Boutin returned from Pullman, Ill., last Friday bringing with him the corpse of his mother whose death was noted last week. The funeral was held here Saturday and largely attended.
