1. | Catherine FIEVRE was born on 19 Nov 1646 in France (daughter of Fiacre FIEVRE and Jacquette DU SOL); died on 13 Jun 1709 in Québec, Qc. Notes: Catherine was a "Filles du Roi" or "King's Daughters." The filles du roi were part of King Louis XIV's program to promote the settlement of his colony in Canada. Some of these women married the earliest explorers and the resultant population explosion gave rise to the success of the colony. Most of the millions of people today of French Canadian descent, both in Canada and the United States, are descendants of one or more of these brave, courageous women of the 17th century. Catherine married Charles ALLAIRE on 10 Nov 1663 in Château-Richer,QC.
